Dr. Waseema Ali has been proudly serving the Stouffville community at Stouffville Family Dentistry since 1999. From a very early age, Dr. Ali knew she wanted to become a dentist, driven by a passion to help people and improve lives through oral health care. This passion has shaped a rewarding and enjoyable career in dentistry.
Dr. Ali graduated from Howard University’s College of Dentistry in 1998 and began practicing in the Washington, DC area, where she also had the unique opportunity to serve as one of the team dentists for both the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards. While working in Washington, Dr. Ali also returned regularly to Stouffville to care for patients part-time.
In 1998, Stouffville Family Dentistry was opened by Dr. Sheldon Lazier, Dr. Ali’s own childhood dentist. The two worked side by side for nearly 20 years, and Dr. Ali eventually assumed ownership of Stouffville Family Dentistry. Dr. Lazier retired in 2018, leaving the office in the trusted hands of Dr. Ali.
A warm, caring, and highly skilled professional, Dr. Ali is committed to lifelong learning through continuing education. Dr. Ali enjoys treating patients of all ages and strives to make every visit informative, fun, and memorable. Dr. Ali takes pride in helping patients achieve their healthiest and most beautiful smiles, guided by their individual oral and overall health goals.
In 2018, Dr. Ali was featured in the Town of Stouffville’s On the Road (OTR) Publication for her mission trip to the Dominican Republic, where she provided much-needed dental care to underserved communities.
Dr. Ali welcomes you to Stouffville Family Dentistry and looks forward to supporting your oral health journey for a lifetime!
Our Administrative team are the first friendly faces that you are greeted by when you arrive. Catalina and Yessica help schedule your appointments, understand treatment options and create affordable financial arrangements.
Our team of hygienists are committed to helping you understand the importance of good oral hygiene and how it contributes to your overall health. While Joanne, Hala, Joel and Thomas have similar philosophies and training, each have their own style which allows them to easily connect with each patient in a unique way. This uniqueness has allowed them to build a loyal following of patients — they rave about their experience!
We’re incredibly fortunate to have two exceptional dental assistants, Shelby and Pamela, who bring a wealth of experience to our practice. They play a vital role in ensuring your visits are as smooth and comfortable as possible. Shelby’s been a friendly face in our office since 2009, and Pamela joined us in 2024, bringing her own expertise and warm personality. Both Shelby and Pamela are dedicated to helping you relax and feel at ease throughout your appointment, no matter the procedure. They’re also both proud residents of Stouffville!
